"Plural" - online photography exhibition. Open Call
Deadline: 15/01/2026City: Cambridge | Country: United Kingdom | Viktor Barkhatov
Submit your photographic project for our second curated online exhibition. We want to see all kinds of photographic approaches — any techniques are welcome!
Cambridge Photography Gallery invites photographers from around the world to participate in our second curated online exhibition. The theme of this open call is Plural.
We want to see photographic projects and series of all kinds — short and long, finished and in progress, complex or playful.
- Maybe you work with in-game photography? Great.
- A project built from Google Maps panoramas? Perfect.
- Revisiting a family archive? Wonderful.
A project can be linear or fragmented, consistent or contradictory. It may consist of your own photographs, found images, screenshots, or other digital material.
Our curatorial goal is not to construct a single narrative, but to present multiplicity: of perspectives, voices, forms, and photographic languages.
Selected artists will be presented in the online exhibition on our website, which will run from 25 January to 10 February 2026.
Opportunity type:
Curated online photography exhibition
Details:
- Submission fee: Free
- Participation fee (if selected): £15
- Deadline to submit: January 15, 2026
- Exhibition dates: January 25 - February 10, 2026
- Eligible submissions: photographic projects
About Cambridge Photography Gallery:
Cambridge Photography Gallery is a new, independent online platform for contemporary photography.
Founded by photographers, we aim to create a space for meaningful photographic work — projects that make you think and feel.
Our goal is to create a dialogue between artists and viewers about what contemporary photography means today.
Right now, Cambridge Photography Gallery exists online.
But we’re growing fast. In 2026, we hope to organize our first offline exhibition in Cambridge and one day, maybe, even create a dedicated physical space for photography in the city.
Exhibition benefits:
- Selected works will be presented in a curated online exhibition hosted on the Cambridge Photography Gallery website.
- Each participating artist will receive a dedicated post on our Instagram page, which currently has 400+ engaged photography enthusiasts and continues to grow quickly.
- Our previous online exhibition attracted more than 2,000 visitors. “Plural” will be promoted through our existing channels to reach a similarly engaged audience of photography enthusiasts.
- Every selected artist will receive a digital certificate of participation confirming their inclusion in the exhibition, suitable for their portfolio or CV.
- All participants will receive guaranteed consideration for future physical exhibitions organized by Cambridge Photography Gallery.
Eligibility:
- Open to all photographers worldwide
- All photographic techniques are allowed
Artwork sales and commission:
The exhibition is non-commercial. Artworks will not be sold through our platform.
Our goal is to provide visibility and context for the artists rather than to facilitate direct sales.
Copyright:
Copyright of all submitted works will remain with the photographers at all times.
By submitting, artists grant us permission to exhibit and promote their work in the context of this exhibition and its related promotional materials.
If your work is selected, a participation fee of £15 will apply.
