Join The Tetley team and help bring audiences closer to art and artists

The Tetley are inviting applications for two new Programme Assistants (Casual Pool) to join our existing team to support our exhibitions and public programme with gallery invigilation and event support. Programme Assistants are a vital member of our team, representing the public face of The Tetley and being the first point of contact between visitors and our artistic programme. It is their role to provide a positive, welcoming experience for visitors by engaging with them face-to-face in a friendly, helpful manner.

Programme Assistants respond to visitor requests for information and also help visitors engage with art as well as events and activities at The Tetley. They are also responsible for monitoring the security of art and the safety of our visitors during gallery opening hours and for gathering and feeding back information on the visitor experience.

Programme Assistants also play a role in the wider delivery of the programme on occasion by supporting events and exhibition installation and de-installation.

Hours are flexible and arranged by mutual advanced agreement. Due to the nature of this role, hours vary during the exhibition cycle and there is no guarenteed level of work. The role is most suited to those undertaking other part-time or freelance work or study in the arts.

Rate of pay:

£7.05 p/h for Assistants 21-25

£7.50 p/h for Assistants over age 25
