CALL FOR ARTISTS SOLO EXHIBITION CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Take your art career to the next level with a solo exhibition in Central London. Artists are invited to apply for a solo exhibition in a spacious contemporary gallery in Kennington, London SE11. This is an open call for a fully supported solo show, from curatorial consultation through to catalogue and closing. International artists are welcome.

Exhibition: 11-16 February 2027 (six days)

Venue: Gallery space in Kennington, London SE11. The venue includes two gallery spaces, one of which is offered for a solo exhibition.

THE SPACE

The gallery offered for the solo exhibition is a white-cube space of approximately 67 sqm, with four clean white walls, a concrete floor, and natural light from the skylights above. There are no windows, so every wall is fully available for hanging and display.

Wall heights range from 3 metres to 6 metres, allowing room for large-scale works, immersive installations, and sculpture, as well as more intimate presentations.

DEADLINE & NOTIFICATION

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 25 November 2026.  All applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30 November 2026.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an invitation to take full ownership of a space: to present a body of work on your own terms, with the guidance and support of an experienced curatorial team behind you.

Whether you arrive with a strong, clearly defined theme or are still identifying the thread that connects your work, we will support you.

Artists with an established concept are welcome to develop it further with our curatorial team, while those still shaping their direction can work with us to define the theme, framing, and narrative that will best present their practice.

We work closely with each selected artist from the earliest stages, helping shape how the work is presented, sequenced, and understood, so that the exhibition feels considered, coherent, and entirely yours.

The exhibition will take place in a spacious white-cube gallery of approximately 67 sqm in Kennington, SE11, within a venue that houses two gallery spaces.

Natural light from above, uninterrupted walls with no windows, and generous wall heights allow room for ambitious work, immersive installations, and pieces that benefit from an open environment.

Viewings are arranged by appointment to encourage intentional, focused engagement with the work, supported by a public opening evening on 11 February and a promotional campaign across Instagram (13.2k followers), LinkedIn, and Facebook.

We had over 2000 visitors at our last exhibitions.

THE INVITATION

We invite artists working in any medium (painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, or otherwise) to apply for a solo exhibition.

There is no set theme. Artists are free to present their own, and where helpful, we offer support in identifying the theme that best reflects the work. This is developed together during the curatorial consultation, and the artist's vision always leads.

We are not looking for a particular aesthetic. We are looking for coherence: a practice with a point of view, ready to hold a room on its own. While all approaches are welcome, we are especially drawn to work that explores emotional depth, introspection, and the layering of human experience.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

The participation fee covers a fully supported solo exhibition, including:

• Curatorial consultation and guidance, from initial planning through to installation, including support in developing the theme and framing of your exhibition
  
  
• Six days of exhibition (11-16 February 2027) in a white-cube gallery of approximately 67 sqm in Kennington, SE11, with installation on 10 February
  
  
• Full installation and de-installation of the exhibition
  
  
• A printed exhibition catalogue
  
  
• An artist interview, produced alongside the exhibition and published on YouTube
  
  
• A public opening evening on 11 February, with drinks, music, and press
  
  
• Flyers and printed promotional materials
  
  
• Invitations extended to collectors, curators, and gallerists
  
  
• Social media promotion of your exhibition on Instagram (13.2k followers), LinkedIn, and Facebook, alongside targeted campaigns aimed at collectors and art-interested audiences
  
  
• Professional photography of the work and the exhibition by a professional photographer, plus video documentation
  
  
• A certificate of participation and a collaboration agreement

WHO CAN APPLY

• Open to artists at all career stages: emerging, mid-career, and established

• Artists should have a coherent body of work, completed or in progress, suitable for a solo presentation
  
  

INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS

International artists are warmly welcomed. Please note that transport, shipping, insurance, and any associated fees (including customs and import duties) are the responsibility of the artist and are not included in the participation fee.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

• A short proposal (up to 300 words) outlining the body of work you'd like to exhibit
  
  
• Up to 10 high-quality images (minimum 300dpi) or video links for video.  (The space can accommodate about 15 large paintings)
  
  
• Title, medium, dimensions, and year for each work
  
  
• Artist statement, 150 to 300 words
  
  
• Short biography, 200 words maximum
  
  
• Contact information and a link to your website or portfolio

ON THE PROPOSAL

We are not expecting a finished exhibition plan or a fixed theme.

We are looking for a body of work with a clear thread running through it, and a sense of what you want a room of your own to say. If the theme is still taking shape, tell us where you are, and we will help you develop it.

Tell us what holds the work together. Tell us what you'd want a visitor to leave with.

SELECTION & CURATION

Applications will be reviewed by the curatorial panel. Selection will be based on:

• The coherence and strength of the proposed body of work
  
  
• The clarity of the artist's intention and direction
  
  
• The potential of the work to hold a solo presentation
  
  
• Readiness to collaborate closely with the curatorial team

All applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30 November 2026. Selected artists will receive full curatorial and installation support from the point of confirmation.

PARTICIPATION FEE & CONDITIONS

If accepted, a participation fee of £2,800 will apply, payable as set out in the Payment Scheme below.

The fee covers the full package outlined above: curatorial consultation and guidance, six days of exhibition, install and de-install, catalogue, artist interview on YouTube, opening evening with drinks, flyers and promotional materials, social media promotion, professional photography, and invitations to collectors and gallerists.

Transport, insurance, and any related fees for the artist's work are not included and are to be paid by the artist. Larger installations or additional space requirements may be discussed individually, with the fee adjusted accordingly.

PAYMENT SCHEME & CANCELLATION

The participation fee is payable in two instalments:

• Deposit: £500, to be paid by 15 December 2026
  
  
• Balance: £2,300, to be paid by 4 January 2027

If the deposit is not received by 15 December 2026, the application will be cancelled and the place offered to another artist. If the balance is not received by 4 January 2027, the exhibition place may be cancelled.

The participation fee is non-refundable. This applies to the deposit and to the balance, including where the artist has paid in full and then withdraws, changes their mind, or does not take part in the exhibition.

SALES

All exhibited work should be for sale. A 20% commission will be applied to sales, with 80% going to the artist.

This opportunity is organised by curator Monica Mardare, an independent London curator committed to creating thoughtful, sensory exhibitions that foreground emotional depth, introspection, and the complex layering of human experience.

The intention is to offer artists a meaningful platform in London, one that values clarity of intention, experimentation, and the space to show a full body of work as a complete statement.
