Seeking writers of any kind for an exhibition
Deadline: 08/12/2019Venue: Jeannie Avent | City: London | Country: United Kingdom | Jessica Mankowska
Writers of any kind are welcome.
Venue: Jeannie Avent Gallery in East Dulwich.
Date of the exhibition: 23rd January- 5th February 2020
Private View: 22nd of January 2020
Title: Housekeeping
Type: Group show
Idea: Theme of domesticity. The space is conservative size wise. Cozy with a lot of contemporary art, armchairs/couch, TVs, carpets and blankets reminiscent of a living room.
I'm seeking 20-40 text based works. They must not have been published before and will not be for sale. This could include any essays, fiction writing, poetry, lyrics, zines, magazines, experimental writing and more. There will be one copy of each work in the exhibition to look through/read. Details of the artist can be included in the gallery guide which is welcome to lead to sales directly. We're also welcoming any emerging writers who have been working on a book/text and are in the process right now. The text does not have to be finished and can be to test out/promote/gain supporters.
If selected you will be required to print your copy and bind it. Text on printing paper only with no covers will not be accepted.
Your work does not have to interact with the space or otherwise in connection to domesticity.
