Space: Call for short film / video works
Deadline: 20/03/2022 | City: Bath | Region: Somerset | Country: United Kingdom | Sightlines Projects
We invite artists to share their experiences of space using film or video in the context of a world in which the space around us has rarely been so measured, so protected, or seemed so vast - or so confining. Selected submissions will be included in a curated film screening at Fringe Arts Bath festival 2022 (FaB22).
Space has always been an integral element in artists’ practice, regardless of genre, epoch or medium. It has been drawn, sculpted, designed, reimagined, explored, played with or simply experienced in a myriad of ways. Yet the artistic exploration of space is not confined to the physical environment. It is not merely a place that we physically inhabit, but something that can be experienced on an intellectual, emotional and/or socio-political level.
Sightlines Projects invites artists to submit short film or video works for a curated screening as part of Fringe Arts Bath (FaB) Festival 2022, to explore notions of space as we emerge from a world in which the space around us has rarely been so measured or so protected, and seemed so confined - or so vast.
Submissions must be in MP4 format and no longer than approx.10 minutes.
There is no fee for submission, but if your work is selected there is a £20 charge. Fringe Arts Bath Festival is an independent festival, run by volunteers. Your contribution goes towards making the festival happen.
