SUMY NONA is an inclusive artsy zine with 100% anonymous submissions. Truly free! Printed in Delft, Netherlands. Anonymus is the latin word for anonymous and all the submissions are anonymous or utilizing a pseudonym, hence the name. (it's a thinly-veiled fundraising mechanism for artists, but our web3 integration with nested contracts, aka breadfond, has to be tested first.) we are pioneers in the web3 space. deadline 1st july.

there is no website, no social media, no twittering, no nonprofit org, just an artist (with formerly one enthusiastic supporter on patreon.com) footing the bill mostly. they had to stop september 2021, so now we are print-on-demand and mostly digital. thankfully NFTs are starting to already offer hope, with some action starting in that field. now we are are turning into a thinly-veiled fundraising mechanism for artists utilizing nested smart contracts on the blockchain. we are now at the testing phase.

marketing:

by all means artists - please market for us on your social medias since we don't have one. it's sorta up to yall to expand upon this concept and make it more of a reality beyond where we are currently. since it's a great idea, it will fly right? :)

timing:

if we weren't rogue artists, things would be moving along faster. but the whole format revamp and blockchain integration is wayyyyy more time-intensive than previously expected. we also include our actual bank balances every issue so you can see there's not much to work with. thanks to an odd benefit in the Netherlands called "vacation pay", the annual pro membership for curatorspace.com has been paid for a year so now we are going to get caught up on the editions. thank for your eternal patience also with the hard copies we have not been able to afford to mail. nothing has sold. the first zine on a split contract has not been verified by all the artists so that fell flat unfortunately.

it'd be fine with the zine being auto-filled from all the submissions but that's beyond our current technical prowess and it's done "by hand" on canva dot com.

NFTs - accessories added?

totally open to "accessory" NFTs to boost our inventory from which collectors have to choose. with split contracts anything is possible. please email us via curatorspace to discuss. our email address is in every zine, but it's more organized to use this wonderful tool.

logistics:

in addition to paying the artists from all revenues automatically via smart-contracts, we hope to be able to pay for 75 print issues per month again. hence the teia, opensea and rarible profiles and new crypto currency wallets.

price for previous issues - 5 tezos (also up for discussion)

new format:

we are now doubled to the XXL A4 with staples on top format. on our teia page you can see a leaf-thru NFT. and my cat.

we are in the process of minting every issue on the tezos blockchain (https://teia.art/sumynonazine) teia.art platform, which is a blockchain more akin to rogue creatives & offers allegedly less environmental impact. the tech is very new so there a few growing pains, but we are on-board to further their concept and platform as much as possible. this is how we change our own paradigm from volunteerism and art martyrs to getting paid. we can't guarantee people will buy but our concept is 99.9% on-point here on out. #web3

participation:

as far as participation, so far not one single person has been turned away yet. the first 2022 issue was the first use of curatorspace and the result is fantastic in my opinion. the idea is less promoting of the individual and more presenting it as a whole multi-media experience in zine form. this open-call is to help keep the zine true to the original intention of anonymous as a whole, and less of the vanity zine it was leaning towards last year. moving forward into 2022, a link ban has been instituted. we are one.

What happens if my proposal is chosen?

you will feel artistic nurturing in your artistic heart. and your submission will be included in the zine. the zine will be minted on the tezos blockchain, which is publicly available for all to revel in. there will be 2022 digital editions, a few printed and also available print-on-demand forever. it is our goal to get everyone who participated a print copy but that sometimes takes a very long time due to it coming out of pocket lately.
