Sydenham Arts Virtual Artists Trail - keeping the Artists Trail going at this challenging time for us all.

With social distancing and lockdown set to continue for the foreseeable future, clearly the Artists Trail will not be organised in the same way this year. We have been working hard to develop a brand new format for local, national and international artists to share their work and expand our artists community.

Sydenham Arts Virtual Artists Trail will begin on 1st May and run throughout the summer, culminating in 2 weekends of increased activities on 27-28 June and 4-5 July.

The Sydenham Arts website will be the portal to virtual 2D and 3D galleries allowing visitors to view art from the comfort and safety of their homes.

Each artist will have a 2D gallery with images of their art, details about sale price, contact details  and links to their own website and social media, with the option to upgrade to a virtual 3D gallery.

Sydenham Arts will curate a number of virtual 3D galleries with selected artists, including:

  • The Artists Trail 2020 Shortlist

  • Art of the Month for May, June and July

  • Featured galleries such as ceramics, photography & digital art, children's art.

Across the website and Sydenham Arts' social media platforms, we hope to host events, featured artists, workshops and more.

Publicity and spreading the word is key in reaching more people than ever before so please share this information with friends and colleagues - the Sydenham Virtual Artists Trail is open to everyone, everywhere.

Please look at this demo Artists Trail Virtual Gallery for an example of what our 3D Galleries will look like, and enjoy some of last year’s art while you are there.

There no cut off date but the sooner you submit your application the more exhibiting time you will receive. The Artists Trail will contunie all summer and maybe longer. 3D Galleries are subject to availability on a first come, first served basis.

Costs

£10 minimum for returning artists who already have a 2D page. £20 for new artists who need a 2D page built. £50 for artists who want a 3D gallery build. Free entry for students, unwaged and those enduring hardship during these times.
