Open Call: Protest & Pride – Art as Resistance

Aire Place Studios invites LGBTQIA+ artists to submit work for an upcoming exhibition exploring art as a protest.

This exhibition will celebrate queer creativity, resilience, and resistance  showcasing how art can challenge injustice, amplify voices, and build community.

We’re looking for work that speaks to protest in all its forms: from political and social movements to personal acts of defiance, and from righteous anger to radical joy.

Work can respond to LGBTQIA+ rights, climate justice, anti-racism, disability activism, or any other protest themes important to you.

We also welcome pieces that centre LGBTQIA+ joy because celebration can be a protest too.

This exhibition will run alongside our workshop Art of Protest: Creative Solidarity with the Trans Community, and aims to be a space for expression, connection, and visibility.
