Modern Painters, New Decorators is looking for contemporary artists, designers and makers in the East Midlands to make art for sale at our event, 'Top Dollar'.

Modern Painters, New Decorators is a new art project based in Loughborough, East Midlands. We are launching a monthly programme of art related activities including exhibitions, talks, events, markets and workshops for the creative community.
 
This is the first event by MPND. Top Dollar intends to support emerging artists and makers across the East Midlands through a one night sale, offering affordable art to the Loughborough community. Accepted artists will recieve a stall for the night.
 
All art must be for sale for a maximum of £10, challenging artists to think about the cost of their materials and processes. We welcome submissions from all art forms including painting, illustration, printmaking, sculpture and more.
 
All sale money from Top Dollar goes to the artist. Selected sellers will need to ‘man’ their own stall or space to manage their sales on the night.
 
Applications will be judged by the MPND team. There is a small administration fee of £3.50 per artist to apply for the sale. Please pay via paypal.me/MPNDProjects and add details on the application form. Applications will not be processed without this payment.
 
Please complete the online application in full, with 3 high res images of the kind of work you intend to sell at Top Dollar and a link to your website or online portfolio. Table sizes at the sale will vary and space will be allotted depending on submissions.
 
Please ensure you are available for 6pm-10pm for set up, the sale and set down before you apply.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Any artist, student, maker or designer from the East Midlands who is available to sell at the sale in Loughborough.
How many works can I submit?
We ask that you submit 3 images of the sort of work you would like to sell. You can sell new or exsisting work; we just want to gain an idea of the kind of work you might sell.

If selected for the sale, it is up to you how much work you bring. Please do be aware that we are unable to provide a set ammount of space, and spaces will be allocated on sale-day.
When is the delivery date?
If selected, you will need to be available on sale-day to set up your stall at least 1 hour before opening.
How much does it cost?
This is a free opportunity. We will not take any submission fees or sales commission.

What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
The event will be promoted on the MPND Facebook and Instagram pages. We will also share images of selected artists after the deadline and up to the event.
How do you decide on proposals?
The MPND team will select the sellers via the online applications and information provided only.
