Transient Info, Virtual Exhibition integrated into International Biennal THE WRONG
Deadline: 30/09/2025Selma Pereira
Call for Artworks Virtual Pavilion at THE WRONG – International Digital Art Biennale
Information is ephemeral. Its incessant, fragmented, and volatile flow shapes the way we live, communicate, and create in contemporary society.
The fleeting nature of information—generated, multiplied, and dissolved within seconds—redefines not only social experience but also the aesthetics of digital art.
The virtual exhibition Transient Info aims to reflect on this post-digital condition: a time in which informational excess is no longer an exception but an environment, and where digital artefacts coexist with hybrid materialities, unstable memories, and identities in constant reconfiguration.
We invite artists to explore this territory of transience—where information, simultaneously abundant and ephemeral, challenges notions of archive, authorship, permanence, and meaning.
Exhibition format
The exhibition will operate across two complementary platforms:
- Curatorial website (open access, linear and contextualised navigation)
- Metaverses (immersion and interaction in three-dimensional virtual environments)
Duration
The exhibition will run from 1 November 2025 to 31 March 2026, as part of the international biennale THE WRONG.
Submission requirements
Each artist may submit between 1 and 3 works (in digital format or adaptable to virtual exhibition).
Submissions must include:
- Short CV (max. 200 words)
- Concept/statement of the work(s) (max. 300 words)
- Link to website or social media
Submission deadline: 30 September 2025
Notification of selected artists: 10 October 2025
Participation is free of charge (no fees)
The works will not be for sale during the exhibition. However, artists’ contact details will be made available for potential enquiries.
Curators:
Adérito Fernandes-Marcos, Macao, China
Selma Eduarda Pereira, Portugal
Additional Information:
The THE WRONG – International Digital Art Biennale has established itself as a global, decentralised ecosystem for digital art.
Aggregated data from previous editions indicates participation from 70 countries, 843 curators, 10,405 artists, 619 pavilions, 283 embassies, 1,000+ events, and a total reach of over 57 million views across its platforms and associated initiatives (website, pavilions, The Wrong TV, among others).
The biennale has been described — including by The New York Times — as “possibly the largest art biennale in the world online, with viewership in the millions”, underscoring the scale and significance of its digital audience.
Projection for the pavilion “Transient Info”: As part of the 7th edition of THE WRONG (1 November 2025 – 31 March 2026), and considering the global scale of previous editions, it is reasonable to expect a significant international audience, with traffic ranging from tens of thousands to potentially hundreds of thousands of visits, depending on curatorial traction, thematic alignment, coverage on the biennale’s homepage, organic promotion, and external editorial mentions.
Marketing Plan/Channels and actions:
Listing and dedicated page on THE WRONG's official website;
Curatorial website
Social Media
Documentation provided to participating artists
As official Certificate of Participation;
