This month’s WC Curated digital showcase will celebrate the textures, colours, and atmosphere of Autumn. We’re inviting textile artists and makers to submit works that reflect the season - warmth, transition, and rich materiality. Textile/ Fibre Work

As a weaver and textile artist myself, I know how much time, love, and labour goes into making. I also know how difficult it can feel to get your work seen, especially outside of your own circles.

That’s why I’ve created WC Curated - a monthly digital showcase where textile makers can share their practice in a way that feels thoughtful, professional, and community-driven.

Each month, I’ll select 9 artists to feature across my Instagram @weavercreature and the WC Curated archive on my website. (if you dont get selected for this round you could be selcted for the following one)

This isn’t just about reposting - it’s about celebrating your work, giving it space, and connecting makers with an audience who values textiles as much as we do.

Over time, I plan to grow this into a magazine and other creative projects, building a network of makers whose voices and visions deserve to be amplified.

The first theme is Autumn: textures, colours, and feelings of the season. I’m excited to see how different makers interpret this - whether through material, process, or story.

Selected artists will be promoted on @weavercreature’s Instagram (3k+ followers and quickly growing), which includes followers such as renowned textile artists (including Ann Richards) and institutions like the Royal College of Art.

Posts consistently receive high engagement, averaging 200+ likes and 15 comments across recent content. In addition, work will be showcased on the Weaver Creature website (www.weavercreature.com), which attracts an international audience of makers, curators, and textile enthusiasts.

Submission Deadline: October 15
Showcase Dates: October 27–31 (on Instagram + website)

Submission Guidelines

• Up to 4 textile works
• Each piece can include 2 images (detail + full view)
• 1 portrait of the maker or of studio/work space
• A 150–250 word description of your practice + works

Fees

£15 per piece (up to 4 works) (option to have 2 images of each piece)Includes: Instagram carousel post + website feature +£5 add-on for Premium Feature Consideration (extra IG Stories promo + highlighted spot on the website + eligibility for the future WC Curated Magazine)
