Affordable artworks, editions and products sought for a maker’s exhibition/shop at the Sculpture Lounge.

This winter, Sculpture Lounge invites independent makers, craftspeople, artists and designers to take part in a winter showcase at our studio building in the picturesque town of Holmfirth.

This year we plan to exhibit collections of affordable works from a selected number of artists.

We are also looking for editions, multiples and products for our pop-up shop.

You do not need to be in attendance; this is not an art fair.

This event continues our well-established program of exhibitions and fairs, which regularly attract an enthusiastic and discerning audience.

Our visitors look forward to discovering new talent and purchasing unique art, craft and design, often as a gift.

All types of work are eligible for this open call but please consider that there is a strong market for Christmas gifts at this time.

All our events are featured on our website and subject to a social media campaign.

We aim to feature every maker at least once in our socials.

We issue a press release to local and regional press. Our artists are often asked to be featured by press photographers.

We also list our events on local and regional 'What's on' type web listings.

Our mailing list of over 4000 people will receive newsletters about the event- we generally attract around 1,500-2,000 visitors.

We have professional signboards on display for several weeks locally before the event, and we have a print run of promotional materials produced.

The exhibition opens on two weekends: 22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th of November.

Sales commission is 40% (no VAT) Stock will be supplied to Sculpture Lounge on a sale or return basis.

The following dates must be observed unless by prior arrangement:

Stock must be delivered between 3rd and 7th November

Collection of unsold stock: Before 5.00 pm, 12th Dec.

How do you decide on proposals?
We choose works that we think will resonate with our audience and hopefully sell well. Some thought is given to curating a coherent and varied collection. We’re always eager to try something unexpected- if you know you have something incredible please let us see it.
