Interested in having your art published, printed, and posted directly to your door? Exhibit alongside a diverse network of established and emerging artists in a collection underpinned by the theme of Dialogue. All art in any medium related to this theme is welcome to feature in the fourth installation of this series!

Wiro Mag is a paperbound gallery space designed to capture art practice in motion, seeking to connect emerging and established artists with broader audiences, gain reputable and tangible exposure, and drive intimate conversations with creative individuals or collectives.

Wiro Mag: Dialogue is a celebration of how art can be used as a tool to communicate, engage, and share with one another.

This could be using art to visually convey a message that you care about or believe to be important, the application or incorporation of text into your work, or simply producing a piece that shares stories or experiences.

A semi-diagrammatic poem scatters words, letters, and numbers across aged paper.

The embossing, blotting, and bleeding of each form bring into question the aesthetic properties of our complex language and provide insight into how these inscriptions could be perceived by non-native speakers.

A dizzying array of hues, shades, and shapes produces a soft and intense composition of vivid entities, objects, and spaces, symbolic of the toll in which neurodegenerative diseases corrupt the mind, and sharing the experiences of those who are affected.

An intense confrontation between people is sculpted from opaque impasto acrylic paint.

The features, faces, and appendages are malformed and misshapen as the intensity of the interaction mutates our perception of the individuals involved.

Through this work, we understand how the behaviour of others deeply shapes how we perceive them

A candid film photograph of a bustling, diverse, and historic street conveys the patchwork nature of post-war cities.

This image reminds us of the durability and endurance of people in the aftermath of hardship and is a testament to our ability to rebuild and revitalise once deprived areas.

A ceremonial, futuristic, and orderly ritual occupies a contemporary drama hall.

A captive audience is allowed an almost voyeuristic view of the individual performers embracing, communicating, and immortalising a sacred moment in time.

Through this vague performance piece, we are given a glimpse into the at times absurd nature of spirituality, religion, or cult organisations.

Encouraging rich dialogue and contemplation surrounding our own internal beliefs.

These are just some of the ways in which the theme of dialogue could be captured in the work you submit.

Wiro Mag invites you to challenge these criteria and push the boundaries of how these ideas can be depicted or expressed through art practice.

Featured artists will receive:

• A copy of the publication packaged and sent to their address in biodegradable packaging.

• A double-page spread with a professionally edited bio and project-specific Q&A, alongside images of the submitted work and further relevant information to guide the reader to learn more about you.

About the publication

• Hand-designed and curated page by page.

• Wiro bound and digitally printed on heavy, opaque, and high-quality paper for the best visibility and legibility.

• A5 portrait (210 x 148 mm).

• Displayed circulated at book fairs around the UK in retailers, galleries, and online—putting your work, bio, and contact information in the hands of thousands of individuals every year, such as curators, enthusiasts, event organisers, and like-minded artists.

• Featured on su4ip.cargo.site under publications, as well as via the SU4IP Instagram. (Here, you will also find all of the installations of the predecessor to Wiro Mag, Artist Book by SU4IP, as well as other SU4IP publications.)

• All art showcased in the publication is property of each respective artist involved. Participating in this project simply allows me the right to curate it in this format.

During which 22 publications were physically sold.

Some of my publications are physically displayed in both Juno Books and Site Gallery Gift Shop, Sheffield. 

The SU4IP Etsy Store, which has accrued 274 visits in 2025, and sold 7 publications in the last year.

The SU4IP Vimeo page has accrued 63 views in the last year.

My Instagram, @lyndonwatkinson, where I promote my art practice, publications, and the participants in them, has 551 followers, accruing 3,784 views in the last 30 days, reaching 480 accounts, 31.2% of which are non-followers.

Costs

It is free to submit to this opportunity. 

If you are successful, you will be asked to pay a fee of £35 to cover the design, printing, packaging, and postage of a copy of the publication to be sent to you, as well as the promotion and distribution to retailers, galleries, book fairs, and online.

Selection Criteria

All artists who apply to these opportunities undergo a selection process based on relevance to the theme, demonstration of enthusiasm towards their work, and quality of the submission (e.g., photo quality, detail/richness of writing.)
