Following the successes of our first and second Yorkshire Artists Winter Show, Saltaire Art Gallery is thrilled to extend an invitation to artists from around Yorkshire to participate in our Winter Show 2025/ 2026. Nestled in the heart of creative expression, Saltaire Art Gallery is dedicated to curating a diverse and captivating collection that inspires communities and sparks dialogue.

The Winter Show 2025

We are delighted to announce our Winter Show 2025 and warmly invite artists from across Yorkshire to submit their work.

All 2D mediums and styles of contemporary fine art are welcome—acrylic, oil, gouache, and watercolour, linoprint, etchings...—across genres including Abstract, Figurative, Landscape, Portrait, and Architectural.

There is no set theme; the final selection will be curated from submissions received.

Eligibility

Open to emerging and established artists with a connection to Yorkshire.
Fees

£20 per artist for up to 3 submissions (to cover administration costs).

Submission Process

Submit your details and up to 3 images (max. 4 MB each) via CuratorSpace. No other submission formats will be accepted.

Deadline

2nd November 2025, 11:59 pm. Late entries cannot be considered.

Benefits of Participation

Selected artists will exhibit and sell their work in our dynamic contemporary art space, feature in the Winter Show 2025 catalogue, and receive 60% of the sale price (gallery commission is 40%). Artwork prices must be £100 or higher.

The following submission fees apply to this opportunity.

  • Submission Fee for up to three artworks - 20.00 GBP

The appropriate fee will be payable using a debit or credit card after the first submission has been completed. If the submission fee allows you to submit more than once, you will be able to make further submissions after the first. When is the delivery date?
During the gallery opening hours (Thursday - Sunday, 11 - 4), one week before the start of the exhibition (20th November 2025)
When do I need to collect my work?
During the gallery opening hours (Thursday - Sunday, 11 - 4) between 1st and 20th February 2025.
How much does it cost?
£20 (non-refundable).
Are there payments to artists?
Payment on sale. 40% Commission.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes, on the 20th November 2025, 7 pm - 9 pm.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
The same as the gallery opening hours - please check on the website.
Does the location have disabled access?
Yes; however, A slight step for access inside the gallery from the front door.
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Social Media coverage, press releases to newspapers.
Do I need to be present?
No
How do you decide on proposals?
Even though there is no specific theme for the exhibition, the submissions will be reviewed according to the received entries. For an idea of the style of artwork accepted in the past, please check out our social media feed.
