    As a child I loved to draw and paint, and as an adult would loved to have had the time to follow it up. However, work and family kept me busy. When I retired I promised myself I would join an art class and take it seriously. Though I don't hold a degree, I am still being very well taught, by excellent professional teachers .,so you are never too old to learn about something you love doing.

    Peter is an international, award-winning, mixed media artist who uses both digital and conventional methods to create his art, including mobile photography (iPhone and iPad), acrylics, cyanotypes and gilding. His work has been displayed at galleries throughout Europe, including Le Petite Galerie in Paris, the MIRA Gallery in Porto & the Bartoli Felter gallery in Cagliari.

    Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me. I consistently exhibit in UK galleries and have collectors across the UK, Europe and US.

Film work curated at Brighton Digital Festival, Borderless Lockdown and Kings Cross Film Festival 2022. I studied graphic design and illustration online at UAL.     I am a mainly self taught painter, working in oils, acrylic and gouache. I have worked as a doctor since 2003. I started to paint as a way to relax and escape from the stress of working in critical care during the pandemic. Now I paint for the joy of learning and creating.

    I create sculpture and art installations using everyday materials and using repetition. My practice is firmly rooted in process art and influenced by postminimalist artists such as Richard Serra and Eva Hesse. I embody difficult thoughts and mental states in physical form. I'm interested in making work that sparks feelings in the viewer before thoughts.
