    I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.

    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.

    I am an author I studied for an MA in art and a BA graduated in both, and then went on to study psychology. I have done various psychotherapy courses and classes. I am now more into doing the thing I love most painting. I am from Cyprus my family were refugees in Cyprus. I have lived in England for over sixty years. I did a lot of work in catering.

    My work touches on themes of belonging, mythology, memory, identity and the female gaze. In my creative practice, I enjoy exploring the symbolism behind water, waterlilies, lotus flowers, landscapes and the female body. I believe that my mixed heritage has been a rich source of material to work with, as I experiment with oil paint and mixed media on canvas.

    I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture. Both are seen as metaphors for the body and for human experience. I have been investigating this relationship for 20 years.     I’m an artist and socially engaged facilitator living by the coast of far west Cornwall. I have a fascination with Dirt (prefer the word dirt over earth - the connotations intrigue me). My work often involves clay, discarded or overlooked matter embracing a slow process that’s both meditative and deeply intuitive.
