An Artist's Guide to Computation is a publication and online community for artists and creative coders. In honor of the 1 year anniversary of the publication, we are beginning a digital residency program to host 1 digital work per month, beginning in January 2020, as a collaboration with White Page Gallery.

This open call is open to all, with a special preference for anyone going out of their comfort zone. Are you primarily a video artist, but used some 3D models in your latest work? Are you a backend dev by day, but have been learning to paint? Have you spent the last year working on a new ML library, and want everyone to fork it on Github and make it into something new? AGtC is a learning community, so works that reflect new skills and exploration are particularly exciting.

This residency is a safe space for you to share the things you are excited about learning and making with other people who want to learn from you. the format is totally open, so long as the work can be shared online in a webpage format. AGtC will provide development support to get your work up on the site in a way that makes you proud.

In addition to the digital exhibition, accepted recipients will be interviewed for a feature in the publication about their process and experiences.

For a sense of the tone of the publication, previous issues can be viewed here.
