Artfest Holmfirth returns to The Holmfirth Civic Hall on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of November 2020. The event will showcase the work of the very best of British arts and crafts from a hand-picked selection of makers. There will be live art demonstrations throughout the weekend plus art installations in the exhibition halls making Artfest Holmfirth a true celebration of the current arts and crafts movement.

Applications are welcome from independent makers and artists, established and new from all disciplines: ceramics, print, jewellery, glass, sculpture, textiles, painting, mixed media, photography. The emphasis for successful selection will be original and handmade work.

Spaces are limited and consideration will be made to create an even and fair representation of each discipline. This selling exhibition will give visitors a chance to meet some of the UK's best artists and craftspeople to buy or commission original pieces of contemporary art, craft and design. Over two days in November Artfest Holmfirth will showcase the very best of British arts and crafts from a handpicked and carefully curated selection of makers.

The venue: Holmfirth Civic Hall is an impressive building constructed in 1842 lying in the heart of the beautiful Last of the Summer Wine countryside and is now in the care of the Holmfirth Civic Hall Community Trust. The Trusts vision is to make Holmfirth Civic Hall an inclusive, cohesive and sustainable community asset- run in the community, by the community for the community. Artfest Holmfirth will be accommodated in the two main halls, the Large Hall and the Lesser Hall.

The location: Holmfirth is a town in the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley, a small town that sits just north of the Peak District in West Yorkshire. Aside from the attractions for the Last of the Summer wine fans, with its breath-taking scenery across the Holme Valley, lively and varied choice or shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants Holmfirth is a popular and much loved destination in West Yorkshire with visitors to the town all year round.
