Beam Me Up, This Place Kinda Sucks, an alien friendly exhibition providing an escape from the everyday.

In this fast-paced life it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and caught up in a never-ending hurricane of things and stuff, stopping us from having those moments where we can simply be.

Welcome to Beam Me Up, This Place Kinda Sucks, an artistic world built for immersion.

This exhibition curates a range of artists’ work focused on, but not limited to, installation/sound based/sculptural work to build an immersive world for the viewer.

We particularly welcome artwork that identifies as otherworldly, ethereal or surreal. Think gentle folds, soft corners and soothing neon.

This exhibition will be curated by Sasha Napoli (@sashanapoliart), a practising artist who has extensive experience putting on her own exhibitions and working experience in artistic organisations, and Cate Blanchard (@cateblanchart), who is a technician at Manchester Museum and previously co-curated and co-ran Next Door Gallery on Burton Road in Didsbury (Greater Manchester).

It is estimated that the exhibition dates will be from the 17th July to the 19th July at Islington Mill (Islington Mill, 1 James St, Salford, M3 5HW).
