ARTISTS RESPONDING TO ... Art & Literature Responding to Environmental, Political and Social Issues
Deadline: 20/03/2021City: London | Country: United Kingdom | Artists Responding To...
March - Issue 7 of a free online and printed publication which uses creative depictions or literature to highlight current world issues, news and movements that aren't getting the attention that they deserve. A political and environmental platform to help ignite conversations and spread awareness through visual and written poetic responses.
We are looking for creative responses that are current to each issue's monthly news. Have you read an article that has made you angry? Or not seen enough articles on a topic or happening that you are passionate about? Ranging from COVID-19, environmental disasters and emergencies, BREXIT, Black Lives Matter and equality.
We want you to share your anger, your confusion, your excitement and your anxieties, making our Zine a space for activism but also a form of information.
Please only submit work that is your own and you are happy for us to share.
ARTISTS RESPONDING TO ... will be accepting submissions of drawings, paintings, sculptures, digital art, photography, photographic stills from video work, articles, essays, poems, you name it! Get creative and use your power of expression to discuss something you care about.
If successful, your work will be featured in our online Zine on our website and distributed through our social media platforms. There will also be a print version available to purchase via our website: www.artistsrespondingto.co.uk
