Call for North East based, early-career curators for new gallery space in Durham city.
TESTT Space* is currently seeking expressions of interest from North East based emerging curators to programme and produce exhibitions in a new gallery space in Durham city.
The gallery is a dedicated space for the presentation of contemporary work by regional and national early-career artists. Commencing from November and operating for the remainder of the project’s life the space is currently projected to be available until mid 2018, with the potential for extension.
Consisting of approximately 30 metres of wall space and 20 square metres of usable floor space the gallery is suitable for work in all media. The space is bordered internally by another, larger gallery space and a flexible black box studio hosting performance and screenings.
At present no fee is offered for the opportunity however we are happy to support fundraising efforts linked to particular projects or exhibitions.
*TESTT Space is an Empty Shop initiative which provides a platform for action research linked to contemporary culture in Durham. It houses studios, galleries, resources and is a testing ground for ideas.
