Space_ and Art For Us are community areas that connect us with our community worldwide. We use these spaces to encourage storytelling, foster expressions of joy, and show solidarity with each other. Space_ is the area to share stories of gender euphoria, joyful experiences with gender, and other feel-good stories that arise as a part of your journey as a TGIN+ individual. Art For Us is an area for artistic expression related to your experience as part of the Transgender, Genderqueer, Intersex, and Nonbinary (TGIN+) community. This space is not restricted to joyful stories or expression. We encourage you to share your stories and art! Upon approval, your work will be listed on our website and we will share a link with you to view the post.

California Aggregation for Gender Diversity is a brand new nonprofit organisation that exists to build community, provide resources, and educate the public on Transgender, Genderqueer, Intersex, and Nonbinary (TGIN+) topics through mainly history and art programming. Our small but mighty team imagines a place in which we can proudly celebrate our worldwide community together.

Our team aims to enact an ambitious plan to build or purchase space for a brick-and-mortar museum in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.

We want to hit the ground running with interim programming like workshops, hangouts, and our signature event: an annual TGIN+ art exhibition. Our goal is for the museum to become a staple in the community it serves for events, film screenings, education, speaking programs, research, art, gatherings, meetings, and much more.

We want the building itself to signify a dramatic shift in the narrative about TGIN+ people and how we exist in society, as well as provide a safe haven and place of connection for people within the TGIN+ body.

This opportunity is the first of many for TGIN+ community members to join CAGD in creating a place where our history is out loud, prominent, and accessible.

Anyone who identifies as a part of the gender-diverse community may apply. This includes but is not limited to transgender, genderqueer, intersex, and nonbinary people.

You may submit as many works and stories as you would like; this opportunity will remain open perpetually. We may stagger their publish dates so that your works and stories are woven in with others. Artwork and stories will be shared on our Instagram @CAforGenderDiversity and posted on our website.

The artwork MUST be created by someone in the TGIN+ community. Any stories submitted MUST relate to joyful experiences at this time, artwork is not restricted. Poetry and short stories are considered artwork and are not restricted.
