The Bonsall Art trail is a trail to showcase the work of talented established and new artists and makers who want to exhibit and sell their work. We support young and emerging artists in the trail and look to include community groups, particularly those who are typically under-represented in the arts or within society.

Bonsall Art Trail is a new arts trail located in the village of Bonsall on the edge of the peak district. As a curated trail we aim to showcase the work of talented established and new artists and makers who want to exhibit and sell their work. Subscription covers entry to the exhibition and membership of Bonsall Arts Trail Association.

The trail, over the weekend of June 29th and 30th  2024, will showcase the work of a wide range of artists and makers from Derbyshire and surrounding counties. We have a policy of inclusivity and welcome applications fro community groups, particularly those who are typically under-represented in the arts or within society. We also welcome applications from emerging artists, regardless of age, and offer a supportive experience for first or second time exhibitors.

The trail is a curated series of exhibitions by individual artists, makers, and groups. This includes painting and drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, glass, jewellery, digital and other  media. Successful applicants will demonstrate a high level of mastery of their chosen medium or media, and must be able to include original pieces available for purchase over the weekend. We also ask that artists or makers submit their most recent work.

A note to artists that there will be no provision of tables for hire for the trail. There will be a limited amount of display boards to hire for those exhibiting in the central marquees at a charge of £20 per artist, please indicate on your application if you would like to be considered.

The fee for application is £10 and we require a short description of your work or yourself as an artist (around 100 words) and six representative jpeg images which will be used on the website, social media and in the trail programme. Unsuccessful applicants will be refunded minus a small processing charge, with supportive and constructive feedback provided if requested. Successful applicants will be asked to pay a subscription to Bonsall Arts Trail Association of £50 which includes exhibition at the Trail and the opportunity to promote their work and other activities via our website https://www.bonsallartstrail.org
