Call-out for art from LGBTQ+ artists in Leeds to display artwork on the walls of queer-run coffee house in central Leeds.

Flamingo's are looking for artwork to decorate the walls after our refurb. Since coming into new management we are redecorating and would love to cover our back wall in art by local LGBTQ+ artists in Leeds!

Submission Requirements (Compulsory):

- No-nips policy - artwork must be appropraite for view by under 18s. No nudity or work of a sexual theme / showing drug use, etc.

- 2D artworks only - art can only be hung on the walls.

- No lighting - epilepsy sensitivity.

- LGBTQ+ / POC / marginalised artists only.

- Artwork can be sold if desired but is not compulsory.

Unfortunately we cannot pay artists for displaying work, but you are welcome to advertise the work for sale in the store and we will keep hold of the money for you to collect.

How do you decide on proposals?
Neil (owner, he/him), Ro (assistant manager, they/he), and Tyler (head barista, he/they) will look through the submissions weekly and you will be contacted if we would like your work to display!
