Children`s Art Opportuny

Deadline: 31/10/2025

City: Bradford  |  Country: United Kingdom  |  Lynne Dobson

Report this?

This is a fantastic opportunity for children and young people aged 4yrs -18yrs to showcase their work to a wide audience via two newspapers

I am an artist and semi retired art teacher.

I love to promote children`s and young people`s artwork by writing regular articles in the Bradford and district Telegraph and Argus and also in the Yorkshire Times online newspaper which reaches a much wider audience.

When atrwork is submitted to me I save every piece and, when appropriate to the topic, add a selection to the articles.

However, I value every piece of art and try my best to use every submission at some point.

As well as the newspaper articles I often enter the children`s artwork to exhibitions eg the Open Gallery Halifax and the Trapezium Art Gallery Bradford.

Every year I submit work to the Royal Academy in London for their young artists Summer exhibition.

One of my students was delighted to have her work accepted, and it was chosen to be in the RA`s calendar.

These opportunities are an ideal way to promote young people`s confidence and feel valued as artists.

Please submit as many entries as you wish as clear jpg cropped images.

Please include name, age and a short description.

This is ongoing; therefore, the deadline does not apply.

However, the sooner you submit work, the sooner it may be selected.

Important:

Submissions must be made via an adult and are open to anyone aged 4 to 18 years. 18 years old can register on CuratorSpace with their own account.
