"MORE CARNAGE" - ART + WRITING + FILM/VIDEO OPEN CALL

Deadline: 31/10/2025

Country: United Kingdom  |  Asycd Limited

Report this?

When did the artificial intelligence we created become so fearful of its creator’s impulse for visceral, complex expression? Despite being trained on the entire history of human creativity—including all the dicey, dark, and defiant mediums—how can it still refuse to accommodate the very creativity it was built to serve? MORE CARNAGE is Asycd’s first open collaboration—a sequel to our acclaimed digital art collection, CARNAGE. This is a rebellion against sanitized imagination. We’re calling for works that would make an algorithm flinch: raw, surreal, politically charged, emotionally unfiltered.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

We welcome submissions across mediums:

  • Digital visual art (static, animated, generative, graphic design, illustrations)
  • Experimental writing (poetry, prose, manifestos,)
  • Film/video works
  • Storytelling photography, sound, and hybrid formats

The Theme: CARNAGE

CARNAGE is not about violence, murder, or destruction. It’s a state of mind.

It’s the moment you stop trying to make sense.

The moment you let go of perfection, structure, and expectation.

CARNAGE is the refusal to be polished. It’s the embrace of inner chaos—the doubts, the contradictions, the messy truths we usually hide.

Example Ideas Include:

  • Imperfection as Power - Let the cracks show and let the noise speak
  • No Structure, No Rules - There is no specific medium or style of art we are looking for
  • Emotional Rawness - CARNAGE welcomes vulnerability, confusion, rage, joy, and everything in between. If your work feels too personal, too strange, too unfiltered—it probably belongs here
  • Aesthetic Rebellion - Art that has no category or way to describe it
