Exhibition: HOME Cupola Contemporary Art, Sheffield 22 November 2025 – 3 January 2026 Cupola Contemporary Art invites artists and makers to submit work for our winter exhibition HOME. The exhibition will explore the many meanings of home — from domestic space, family, memory, belonging, and identity, to shelter, comfort, and place. Cupola Contemporary Art invites artists and makers to submit work for our winter exhibition HOME.

The exhibition will explore the many meanings of home — from domestic space, family, memory, belonging, and identity, to shelter, comfort, and place.

We welcome diverse interpretations of the theme, whether literal or abstract, personal or universal.

Alongside larger exhibition works, we will also be accepting submissions of smaller-scale, affordable gift items suitable for the festive season.

Painting
Sculpture
Ceramics
Jewellery
Glass
Photography
Printmaking
Textiles

Other original artworks and handmade gift items relevant to the theme

All submitted work must be for sale.

Key Dates

Submission Deadline: Monday 3 November 2025

Delivery of Accepted Work: By Friday 14 November 2025

Deliveries must be by appointment only

In-person deliveries accepted Monday–Friday only

Exhibition Dates: Saturday 22 November 2025 – Saturday 3 January 2026

Submission Guidelines

Artists may submit up to  4–6 works for consideration or a collection of works for functional ware.

Gift items should be original & handmade.

All selected works must be clearly labelled and ready for display.

Artists are responsible for the cost of delivery and collection of work.

All works must be available for sale throughout the exhibition.

Commission & Terms

Standard gallery commission rates apply.  Commision is set at 50% after VAT 

All sales will be handled by Cupola Contemporary Art.

Unsold works must be collected by arrangement following the exhibition.

To work out the overall price of your work, please use the following formula:

Your wholesale price x 2.2 = retail including the VAT we have to charge. ie. £100 x 2.2 = £220.  £100 to artist, £100 to gallery £20 to HMRC.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Anyone.
How many works can I submit?
4-6
When is the delivery date?
Before the 14th November.
When do I need to collect my work?
Collections can begin 2 weeks following the end of the exhibition, and all works must be collected by March 2026.
How much does it cost?
It is free to take part however the gallery will take comission on any sales.
Are there payments to artists?
1 month following the sale of any art work.
Is there a private view / opening?
The exhibition opens at 7.30 pm, Friday, 21st November.
What are the exhibition opening hours?
10 - 6 mon to sat and 12 - 4 sun during the exhibition.
Do I need to be present?
No.
What happens if my proposal is chosen?
We will contact you via email the week beginning 3rd November probably Wednesday or Thursday.
