Open Call: "Small Wonders. A Curated Photography Exhibition
Deadline: 03/05/2026Region: North Yorkshire | Country: United Kingdom | Allora Gallery
SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN: "SMALL WONDERS" – INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION. Allora Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit work for our upcoming online group exhibition, "Small Wonders."
Wonder hides in the smallest details — when we look closely, the ordinary reveals itself as extraordinary.
Allora Gallery invites photographers worldwide to explore small wonders through close observation, revealing the remarkable complexity and beauty existing in the tiniest corners of our world.
We're seeking photographs that capture the intimate scale of life — the details we might walk past without noticing, the textures that reward patient observation, the miniature worlds waiting to be discovered.
How do you capture the perfect spiral of a shell? What stories emerge from the weathered surface of stone? Can a single macro photograph reveal an entire ecosystem in a drop of water?
We welcome macro photography revealing nature's intricate details, close-up studies of textures and patterns, intimate explorations of flowers, plants, and insects, the hidden beauty in everyday objects, architectural details creating abstract compositions, miniature landscapes found in rust, ice, and decay, water droplets and reflections at close range, and any photograph celebrating the extraordinary complexity hidden in small things.

About Allora Gallery:
Allora Gallery is an independent online photography space founded in 2025 and devoted to capturing the fleeting, the poetic, and the unseen.
Each month, we curate exhibitions around a central theme, welcoming photographers of all backgrounds, styles, and stages of their creative journey.
Allora means “then” or “so” in Italian — a word often spoken in moments of pause, just before something begins. For us, it’s that quiet in-between — the breath before the shutter clicks, the stillness before the story unfolds.
We are open to submissions from photographers of all levels and backgrounds.
