Project Ability and The Art House are looking for an expert Screen Printer to work alongside artist Cameron Morgan FRSA. Funding has been awarded by Creative Scotland to support the continuing development of Morgan’s artistic practice.

Cameron Morgan FRSA is a prominent artist who spent much of 2016 in the studio developing a series of paintings for exhibition commissioned by Unlimited www.tvclassicspart1.co.uk.  TV Classics Part 1 premiered at Glasgow International in May 2016, toured to Celf o Gwmpas, Wales in July and finally was shown at the Unlimited Festival at the Southbank Centre, London in September.  In advance of the Unlimited Festival arriving at Tramway, Morgan returned to the studio over the summer months to produce new work for the Tramway exhibition, this time employing ceramics modelling and slip casting to produce the exhibition “Put Your Sweet Lips Closer to the Phone”.

Now, he is returning to the studio to expand his skill base, explore new creative processes, and work with and learn from artists with different skills.

Cameron Morgan is in residence at The Art House, Wakefield from 19 to the 30 June and would like to spend 3 days each week working with his support artist and a local print maker.  He wants to explore printmaking, in particular screen printing to further develop his practice.

Project Ability, Glasgow is a leading inclusive arts agency supporting artists with learning disabilities to develop their artistic practice.

The Art House, Wakefield provides studios and programmes offering time, space and support for artists and associates to develop their creative practice and professional careers.

Fee for 6 days (42 hours) professional tuition: £900 (you will be responsible for your own tax and VAT)
