This mini-exhibition will happen in my Yoga studio. Please read all the details carefully.

Art inspired by the sun and moon in any media up to A3 in size is welcome.

This exhibition will run until Summer solstice.

Do not send bios, CVs or personal statements. Your art can speak for itself!

Terms:

After a confirmation message on receipt of your application, a final notification will be sent out to everyone on May 18th about whether works have been selected or not.

Exhibiting artists will pay €25 each towards rent, heat, lighting, council rates, printing of colour posters and time and energy spent on organising, installing and publicising the event.

Location:

A salon-style exhibition will take place in my new Yoga studio, which is also a place to host creativity classes and poetry gatherings (I have 19 years' experience in community arts, event management, teaching and my own personal creative output).

The population here is around 7000. Most villagers nearby come to Newcastle West for shopping and culture. The population of Limerick county is 197,000. I will be opening the studio at specific times for exhibition viewings to groups of tourists from the Kerry and Limerick region. No commission will be taken on sales.

About me:

My most recent work was a 9-month socially-engaged project. Lots of research and conversations ended with an exhibition of poetry and painting by 17 creatives (read more here). My own practice includes painting, song writing, poetry, land art and more.

Right now I am inspired by the miraculous beauty of our sun and our moon; two of the solid constants in this crazy world. Most of my work is not online, but you can some on my website. You might also want to check out my yoga site here.
