Left Bank Leeds Art Prize 2018 is a £500 prize that will be awarded to an artist or collective exhibiting in the summer group show at Left Bank Leeds.

LEFT BANK LEEDS ART PRIZE
Building on the success of our annual summer group shows at Left Bank Leeds we are launching the Left Bank Leeds Art Prize. This is a £500 prize that will be awarded to an artist or collective exhibiting in the summer group show. 

THEME: MOVEMENT
Artists whose work fits within the very open theme of "movement" are invited to submit work for consideration. This could include: kinetic sculpture, painting, photography, dance, drawing, drawing machines, mark-making, performance pieces, film, musical movements, architectural movements, tapestries etc. We really are very open to all mediums and interpretations of the theme.   

We ask that you submit 3-5 pieces of work that can sit alongside one another as a series. This is less important for those submitting film, installation, performance etc. 

Prior to opening the summer group show the selection panel will shortlist the works for the Left Bank Leeds Art Prize. The shortlisted artists/collectives will be announced at the Opening Event on Wed 18 July, 6-9pm and audience members will be able to vote on their favourite throughout the exhibition (18-21 July). The £500 prize will be announced at the end of the exhibition. 

DATES
Artists selected to take part in the group exhibition are be required to deliver their work to Left Bank Leeds on Sunday 15 July between 12noon and 6pm, are invited to the Opening Event on Wednesday 18 July, 6-9pm and are required to collect their work on Sunday 22 July between 12noon and 6pm.
