The Art Post Letterbox Gallery: Open Call for UK Artists
Deadline: 31/01/2023City: UK | Country: United Kingdom | The Art Post
The Art Post, as featured by the BBC and The Yorkshire Post, is a wax-sealed miniature art gallery that lands on the doorstep of hundreds of art-lovers across the UK. In each Art Post, we showcase four masterpieces by four up and coming artists on postcards, for art-lovers across the UK to discover some of the most exciting emerging talent. You can submit any artwork of any size, and price - we're on the lookout for some amazing talent.
The Art Post is sent four times a year, each is hand wax-sealed and every Post comes with a Meet the Artists booklet to discover the artist, their inspiration, and a QR code to buy each piece featured.
We are lucky to achieve regular press coverage, and we will be promoting across all of our channels. We get thousands of visitors to the website every month, and to our Instagram, and we have a database of art lovers from across the country whom we email throughout the year with featured artists updates.
Work in any medium, and any theme is welcome, however we do have a broad audience - so consider this with your submission. We are looking for one more artist to feature in our December edition, so please aim to submit our quick application soon if you want to be featured in this quarter's Post.
Here is a quote from Jess Rollitt, one of the wonderful artists who has featured in The Art Post;
"Being featured in the Art Post was a great experience! It felt like a big thing for me to ‘put myself out there’ as I’d not shared my work that widely before. But it was also quite exciting, especially getting comments from people saying they’d seen my print in the Art Post, seeing my social media following grow and making quite a few sales.
As a subscriber I’ve also loved receiving such a fantastic and varied selection of work from different artists each month."
There is no fee to apply. We take 35% commission on all sales for up to two months after the exhibition for all sales, and whilst the piece is exhibited online.
