Call for Artists: Entangled Geographies: Displacement, Belonging, and the Spaces In Between – An Online Visual Art Exhibition
Submission Deadline: 19 September
Exhibition Dates: 1-29 October 2025
CISTA ARTS invites artists worldwide to submit work for our October 2025 online exhibition:
The Edge of Knowing: Art and Uncertainty
In an era defined by flux — geopolitical shifts, ecological instability, technological acceleration, and existential questioning — we are often suspended at the very threshold of understanding.
This exhibition seeks to explore that threshold: the fragile edge where knowledge dissolves into mystery, and where uncertainty becomes a fertile space for artistic exploration.
Rather than offering resolution or clarity, we invite works that embrace the ambiguous, the speculative, the in-between.
Whether personal or collective, scientific or spiritual, this theme invites responses to the disquieting and generative nature of not-knowing.
Art becomes a form of inquiry — one that can give shape to doubt, open portals to intuition, and trace the contours of what lies just beyond comprehension.
What emerges when we accept uncertainty not as failure, but as freedom?
What can be discovered when we pause at the edge, looking into the unknown?
We welcome submissions across all mediums that engage with questions of ambiguity, transition, contradiction, and possibility.
Works that confront the invisible, respond to liminal states, or propose imaginative alternatives to certainty are especially encouraged.
Submission Details:
• Open to all mediums: painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, and mixed media.
• Collaborative works and multi-disciplinary pieces are welcome.
