Calling all ceramicist - apply now for a table at The GREAT Leeds Ceramic Fair! A celebration of ceramicists taking place in the Brodrick Hall at Leeds City Museum.

The GREAT Leeds Ceramic Fair will take place on Saturday 18th July 2026 from 11 - 4pm at Brodrick Hall, Leeds. Setup will begin from 10am on the day. 

The fair will have free entry to the public.

We are looking for ceramicists working in a variety of methods/techniques/materials including, but not limited to:

  • Wheel throwing
  • Handbuilding
  • Slab building
  • Pinching
  • Modelling
  • Coiling
  • Raku
  • Sgraffito
  • Surface decoration
  • Slip casting
  • Marbling
  • Printing
  • Resist
  • Sculpture
  • Decorative
  • Homeware
  • Tableware
  • Tiles
  • Earthenware
  • Stoneware
  • Porcelain
  • Bone china
  • Terracotta


Individuals, partnerships, collectives and students are all encouraged to apply! If submitting a joint application, please make this clear in the description box of your application.

Studio Greenly is a planet-friendly collective of freelancers who have been hosting events in Leeds and Bradford for the past 3 years, including markets, exhibitions and networking events.

This is their 3rd time hosting a market in the iconic Brodrick Hall at Leeds City Museum.

Deadline For Applications: Midnight on Sunday 7th June. Applicants will be notified of the results of their application via Curatorspace, week commencing Monday 8th June.

Applications are free to submit, but successful applicants will need to pay a £70 table fee, to be paid via bank transfer. Stall fees include a 6ft x 2.5ft trestle table and 2 folding chairs.

Accessibility Information:

There are two entrances to the museum. 

The main entrance is accessed via steps with a handrail, or by a ramp (the bottom of the ramp is on the left of the building as you face it). The main entrance has two double doors. 

The double doors on the left are automated with a press button, and they open outwards. Alternatively, you can enter the museum at lower ground level through the café. The automated doors with a push button are located on the left and they open outwards.

The Museum has four floors, which are all accessed by stairs or a lift. The lift on the ground floor is on the left.

The nearest accessible on-street parking bays are located where Cookridge Street meets Rossington Street, or on Percival Street.

There is an accessible toilet on each floor of the museum. 

Facilities in the toilets include rails at the sides of the toilet and basin, emergency alarms and fire alarms with flashing lights. These toilets are not RADAR key operated. 

Leeds City Museum has a Changing Places toilet. This is located on floor 3 of the museum.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
This opportunity is open to any ceramicists working within the disciplines specified. You can apply from one or multiple disciplines.

How much does it cost?
This opportunity is free to apply but successful applicants will need to pay a £70 table deposit. Fees must be paid in advance to guarantee a place. Makers selected for participation will be informed of payment deadlines. Stall fees include a 6ft x 2.5ft trestle table and 1-2 folding chairs. There will be no access to electricity unfortunately. Setup is from 10am on the day.
Do I need Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, all stallholders must have Public Liability insurance to the value of £5 million (in date during the market).
What publicity will be provided as part of the opportunity?
Studio Greenly will be distributing flyers and posters as well as posting on their social media and website.

You will hear back from us via Curatorspace if you have been successful or not from Monday 1st June.
How can I get to Leeds City Museum?
Leeds City Museum is well served by a number of bus routes stopping on The Headrow and Woodhouse Lane, both less than 5 minutes’ walk from the Museum. Plan your journey by bus.

Leeds Railway Station is 0.6 miles away (approximately a 10 minute walk).

Secure car parking is available in Woodhouse Lane, The Light, Merrion Centre and Rose Bowl car parks. For loading on the day, traders can unload onto Rossington Street before moving their cars into a car park.
