We’re excited to announce the return of our Festive Market on 22–23 and 29–30 November 2025. Applications are now open for artists, designers, makers, food and drink producers and specialist retailers. A preview event will be held on the evening of Friday 21 November to launch our new exhibitions.

We welcome applications from both emerging and established UK-based independent artists, designers, makers and producers.

We are particularly interested in a wide range of disciplines, including ceramics, cosmetics and aromatics, food and drink, gifts for children, homeware, jewellery, plants and floristry, prints, stationery and textiles.

The Festive Market is a vibrant and well-attended event, featuring family-friendly activities, live music and street food, alongside special offers in The Hepworth Wakefield shop and café as well as discounted exhibition entry.

Last year, we welcomed over 13,000 visitors across the two Festive Market weekends.

A special preview evening will be held on Friday, 21 November to coincide with the private view and opening party for our new exhibitions.

If you are interested and available to take part in this preview, please indicate so in your application.

The Festive Market will take place in the event space at Tileyard North, the beautifully refurbished textile mill opposite the gallery.

Applications close at midday on Monday, 7 July 2025.

Stalls are priced at £250 for one weekend, including VAT, with an optional trestle table provided.

Fees must be paid in advance to secure your place, and selected makers will be informed of payment deadlines.

These fees support the running of our fairs and markets programme and contribute to The Hepworth Wakefield’s mission to create inspiring art experiences that enhance lives.

To apply, please complete the CuratorSpace form and include five images showcasing your work and stall setup.

All participating stallholders will be featured on The Hepworth Wakefield’s website, social media channels, and newsletters.

The event will be widely promoted through our digital platforms, including targeted Facebook and Instagram adverts reaching approximately 750,000 people.

Additional promotion will include print adverts in regional magazines, an outdoor poster campaign in Leeds and Sheffield, and flyer distribution across West, South, and North Yorkshire.

Our recent events have also received coverage on BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Sounds, Wakefield Express, and the Yorkshire Post.

All stallholders must hold Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5 million.

Successful applicants who require insurance will be eligible for a 10% discount on Axisweb Network Associate membership, which includes free Public Liability Insurance up to the required amount.

This offer is available on request to the first 40 successful applicants in need of insurance.
