THE SECRET SALON is excited to announce an exclusive pop up art gallery hosted in a physical gallery space in the centre of the London art scene in Hackney, East London. Would you like to show your work amongst the coolest street art and galleries in London, join us for this exciting exhibition in October 18th 2025. The Rolling Stones launched their album "Hackney Diamonds" nearby to our venue and we are near to the Abba arena and the famous Anish Kapoor sculpture at the Queen Elizabeth 2 park. This open call is for UK artists only.

Opportunity for UK-based artists to exhibit their work physically in a historic warehouse gallery space in Hackney, East London, on 18th October 2025.

Submission is FREE and you may submit up to THREE works for consideration.

This is our 8th exhibition and the mission in place is to create a core group of artists with the idea of exhibiting in different and unusual spaces which create exciting shows that push our works forward.

We will be looking for exciting and unique work that we may take further into our future Secret Salon exhibitions, works on paper, stretched canvas and unstretched canvas.

There is no theme for this exhibition; you may submit what you wish.

Artists at any stage of their career may apply, and we welcome all cultures and artists from minority groups and backgrounds.

The Secret Salon prides itself on being inclusive to all people without judgment.

ACCEPTED MEDIA: 

2D works, painting, drawing, lino printing, mono printing, abstract works, mixed media, collage, textiles and 3D works, BLACK and WHITE photography and sculpture.  

*Digital art and film is also accepted, please submit through our other listing which is specifically for UK and INTERNATIONAL digital art and film.

We have a huge gallery space and encourage large 3D and sculpture pieces for this show. We usually expect 500+ visitors during the event.  

This is an excellent opportunity for artists to show their work in an exceptional location to a new London audience.

If a buyer is interested in your work, we will put them in touch with you directly, and we will charge a 20% commission on all sales.

A video of the event will be available offline for participants whose work is accepted, along with a photo of the exhibition.

It is FREE to submit up to 3 works.

The Secret Salon operates a cost sharing model as we are not funded and  does not make any profit from events.

All participating artists share the costs of overheads for events, including hire, hospitality, drinks, the Private View, Invigilation, and a photographer to document the exhibition.

Any overages go towards the next show.

Fees:

Fees for accepted works will be A3 and under £35 per piece.

Over A3 £55 per piece.

Larger than  A1 by arrangement with The Secret Salon directly.

You MUST be able to either post your work to us OR deliver it to the venue on the 18th October.

Works will be selected on a rolling basis, so more spaces will be available at the beginning.
