The Time of Her Life
Deadline: 18/04/2021Venue: The House of Smalls | City: Online only | Country: United Kingdom | Amy Oliver
This is a very specific call for women who use visual art and words to express their emotions, thoughts and feelings as they navigate and negotiate their way through the murky waters of perimenopause and menopause. We are bombarded with positive quotes and uplifting images to remind us that this is a time of celebration and liberation . . . but is it? What were you told? What were you not told? Who were you and who have you become? Indeed, is this inevitable transition worthy of mention at all?
THIS IS A DOLLHOUSE PROJECT - PLEASE READ THE CALL DETAILS CAREFULLY
This call is for all mediums of original small artworks, to include 3D, photography and digital art, but NO prints of larger work please. 2D work should be within the maximum measurements of 5 x 5 x 0.5 inches/12 x 12 x 1 cm (to INCLUDE any frame).
Although due to current lockdown restrictions etc this show will be online only, it is a physical exhibition and works selected will need to be posted to The House of Smalls, a UK based project. There is no cost to the artist except for postage to and from the House. For further information and details of previous shows please visit www.thehouseofsmalls.art.
