Unfixed: Between Form and Dissolution invites works that exist in states of becoming—where forms shift, loosen, and resist resolution. This online exhibition explores the space between presence and dispersal, where boundaries blur and meaning remains open. Across all media, we welcome practices that engage with fluidity, fragmentation, and the unstable nature of form. Submissions are open to all disciplines, including painting, photography, video, installation, digital media, sculpture, and mixed media.

Unfixed
Between Form and Dissolution

CISTA ARTS invites artists to submit work for its upcoming online group exhibition, Unfixed: Between Form and Dissolution.

This exhibition turns towards conditions that resist settling—where forms emerge, shift, and begin to loosen at their edges. It brings together works that inhabit the space between presence and dispersal, where structures hold only temporarily before giving way to change.

Rather than focusing on transformation as a completed act, Unfixed attends to what remains unresolved: states of suspension, instability, and gradual undoing. Boundaries blur, distinctions soften, and forms move between coherence and fragmentation.

Artists are invited to explore this threshold through material, process, or concept. This may include approaches that engage with fluidity, erosion, layering, repetition, or ambiguity, as well as works that resist fixed interpretation or stable meaning.

Presented online, the exhibition considers the screen as an active site of encounter—where images shift, overlap, and are continually reframed. Submissions that respond to this condition, whether through still or moving image, are particularly welcome.
