We are looking for paintings of or featuring animals to feature in our third online/virtual exhibition.

The Animal Artspace is an online space dedicated to showcasing contemporary animal art through virtual exhibitions and an artist directory.

The space aims to celebrate the variety and abundance of animal art being created today, by artists at all levels and stages of their creative careers, working in any style.

We are looking for artwork to feature in our third online/virtual exhibition: PAINTING

Exhibition details:

• Location: Online - VR Exhibition via Artsteps, our website and Instagram/Facebook

• Exhibition Dates: 1st - 30th September 2025

What we are looking for:

• Medium: artwork must be entirely or mostly created in a painting material (watercolour, acrylic, oils etc)

• Style: any style can be submitted (realistic, impressionist, abstract etc)

• Subject: paintings must include an animal - this can be any animal, and they don’t have to be the main focus of the painting

• Number of submissions: up to 3 per artist (please complete a separate form for each artwork)

• Artwork generated by AI will NOT be accepted

• Deadline for submissions: 15th August 2025

Fees:

• Submission fee: FREE

• Participation fee:  £5 per artist - you only need to pay this fee if your work is selected for the exhibition. The fee is per artist, not per piece, so you pay the same whether you are exhibiting 1, 2 or 3 pieces.

• Commission: NO COMMISSION TAKEN - prospective buyers will be directed to the artist for sales enquiries.

• OPTIONAL Directory Listing: £5 - participating artist may choose to be added to our artist directory for an additional £5 (usually £10) but this is entirely optional. See examples of artists profiles on the growing directory here: https://theanimalartspace.com/artistdirectory

What does the £5 participation fee cover?

• Up to 3 pieces of work included in the exhibition - please use a separate form for each artwork

• Design and set up of a virtual reality exhibition hosted via Artsteps - our previous exhibitions can be viewed here: https://www.artsteps.com/profile/67bde8977acc4661e21dff1c (We have had over 500 views on artsteps across our first two exhibitions)

• Set up of image gallery on our website: https://theanimalartspace.com/ 

• Promotional material design and marketing via Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/the.animal.artspace/
