OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS EXHIBITION "UTOPIA". ART from HEART calls all Artists working in any medium to join the upcoming exhibition "Utopia", inspired by the theme of ECOFeminism, exploring the relationship between nature and women. A utopian world where Nature and Women are not mistreated. The aim is to inspire and support equality in communities.

We welcome new artistic interpretations in the Ecological side, Feminist side, and/or the relationship between them. We also welcome artworks made in early decades responding to the first ECOFeminist movement that started in the 1970s.

The ECOFeminism Festival 2020 is a unique exhibiting opportunity not to be missed! A full programme of workshops, performances, short-film festival, artist-in-resident, talks and conferences.

Artists working in any style and medium 2D, drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, photography, 3D, sculptures, ceramics, installations, video, new media, etc. can apply.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

ARTWORK: Any media, maximum size of each Artwork is 2.50m x 2m

FRAMING: All artworks on paper must be framed unless they are very large. Paintings are not required framed -if the canvas is in good condition. All Artworks must be ready for hanging.

EXHIBITION HANGING: The Gallery provides the hanging system. Drilling is not allowed. If needed, you can use white tac. Artists will be asked to help hang their own work. 

SUBMISSION FEE: There is a non-refundable administration fee of £10 for your submission for up to 4 artworks in any media, either individual or a series. Please make a separate submission for each artwork. You will automatically be asked to make a payment for the initial submission using a credit card after you submit through CuratorSpace.


EXHIBITING FEES: Successful Artists will be asked to pay an exhibiting fee of £40 


ACCEPTANCE OF PLACES: Confirmation is made by payment of exhibiting fees in full by Online Bank transfer BACS. Please inform us immediately if you are unable to take up your place - so that we may offer it to another Artist. The deadline for receipt of all exhibiting fees is Monday 3rd February 2020.

ART DELIVERY DATES: Monday 23rd & Tuesday 24th March 92020 from 9.00 - 19.00pm.

ART COLLECTION DATE: The main collection of works will take place on Sunday 5th April 2020 from 20.00 -21.30pm -after the Exhibition Closing. Exhibiting Artists must ensure prompt delivery & collection within the timings stated unless special arrangements have been previously agreed with the Curator.

INVIGILATING THE EXHIBITION: The exhibition will need to be invigilated. All exhibiting Artists will be expected to volunteer some time for invigilation of the Gallery, Shop and Bar at Events. An invigilation rota will be circulated. 

SALES: The Exhibition will have a Shop where Artists can sell Postcards, Prints, crafts, etc. The total Sales commission for original artworks is 20% -10% for the partner charities, and another 10% to ART from HEART. All sold artworks must remain in the exhibition until the close of the show on Sunday 5th April after 20.00 pm. Artworks may be collected by the buyer or delivered by the Artist.

EXHIBITION INSURANCE: Although great care will be taken of all work & Public Liability insurance will be provided, Artists must have their own Personal Liability & Artwork Insurance.

The appropriate fee will be payable using a debit or credit card after the first submission has been completed. If the submission fee allows you to submit more than once, you will be able to make further submissions after the first. What are the selection criteria?
ART from HEART is looking for theme related, multimedia artworks in 2D or 3D in any style. We are striving for good quality artworks, and professionalism. We also welcome experimental artworks and artworks made during the first ECOFeminism movement in the 1970s.
