About us

The Bakery Gallery is an artist-run gallery with two central London locations. The gallery first opened in 2021 in a 19th-Century bakery in Notting Hill’s iconic Portobello Road, and in 2023 a second location opened in Camden Passage, Islington.

We provide a friendly space for artists to share their work. The gallery consists of member artists who put on a rolling exhibition of current work, curated by the artists themselves, as well as a series of week-long solo and small group shows by visiting artists.

The gallery is always manned by one of the artists, so any time you stop by, you’ll be able to have a conversation with a practising artist about work currently on display.

Our goal is to create an accessible way for artists to interact with the public and to allow the public to discover new artists and engage with contemporary art today.
