My experience working as a cruise ship Photographer stimulated my interest in travel, and specifically the sea, its power, mystery, visual and tactile qualities. These themes provide the backbone to my practice which I am currently developing as an art student at Central Saint Martins.

My self-initiated practise uses installation, archives, object making, and storytelling to explore themes of space, play and participation. Physical and mock- mythical environments are created and then acted on through an invitation to share, host or collaborate, developing research around the idea that ‘the work here is in the being-together’.

I work collaboratively, with musician John Phillips. Influenced by many years working in care environments, our work embraces a love of vulnerable, intimate connection with strangers, and the painful, dark humour found in adversity. We create performances and videos playfully seeking to meld art and music both as practices and as approaches to making.
