    Claire Mc Dermott is a working-class artist whose research combines art, biophysics and the humanities through social and environmental issues, while her multidisciplinary skills created sculpture, photography, drawing, print and poems by making connections between plants, glass and air. As an environmentalist, she envisions a planet that shares and represents all cultures.

    Having been an artist since I was little, I practised properly as a professional artist since 2020. I studied at Dumfries and Galloway college doing Art and Design at HND level I went on to study at home on self portraits, I practise daily my technique and my love for the female form. I was a model between 16-25 years old, and have the same outlook that the female body is beautiful.

I worked as a creative facilitator, mentor, curator & researcher for 10 years, for orgs such as Cartwheel Arts, Pool Arts and ARC. Recently studied MA in Fine Art working with themes of materiality, memory, archival practice, personal histories and collecting.
