    I am a mixed-media artist based on the Powys–Shropshire border. My practice explores expanded painting through portraiture, informed by landscape and material encounter, and developed through direct, process-led making. Drawing from these two cultural experiences the paintings deal with ideas and notions around physical pleasure, sexual gratification, love, sexuality, and anxiety. My paintings have a narrative.     I am an artist predominately concerned with post war architecture, it's inherent ideology, aesthetics, structural forms and the effects it has upon its inhabitants. I explore these themes in sculpture, photography, painting, installation and print in order to broaden and investigate related ideas.

    The canvas is a place of experimentation and learning, light is centeral to all my Painting. I like breaking down information to its structure, I hope to express feelings or memories but I have no pre-determined outcome in mind.     Having completed a degree in Fine Art I went on to complete an MA Fine Art at BCU . I revel in exploring, unpicking, and going on a journey to see where the art takes me. When I paint and draw, I really do feel the work emanates from within and emerges, bursting forth. I embrace my gestural approach, and investigate large scale using oil, oil sticks, and water soluble crayons.
