    I was born in 1968 in Bridgend, Wales, where I am currently based. I retired in 2024 after a long and distinguished career as a Registered Nurse and am now focussing on developing my career as an artist having demonstrated a love and talent for art from a very young age.

    Marika is a skilled artist and a PhD candidate at Sheffield Hallam University. Her PhD project, Beyond Touch-screens, has been exhibited at the CHI Interactive Experience Bolzano and Stanley Gallery.     I am a multidisciplinary environmental artist Based at Rogue Artists Studio Manchester and an Associate Member of Ebor Studio Rochdale. I explore nature’s elements in the landscape of the Anthropocene. I work with traditional materials and New Technologies fusing the two in an online-offline process resulting in abstract forms both virtually and in sculpture and print.

    Who am I? A question I will always struggle with. I have two sides- my feminine and my masculine . My routes of action films and sci-fi has merged with my love for glamour, pop culture, costume and character. The questioning of identity and gender within myself and society has led way to a desire to explore this and other social topics through my work. Society is my biggest inspiration.
