    I’ve always been an abstract oil painter, I love the freedom it gives me. Recently my practice has taken inspiration from my new local landscape, transferring watercolour studies into abstract representations, but allowing how that particular landscape makes me feel when present. I don’t shy away from colour and use it as a driving force to start painting and communicate with the viewer.

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, working in collage and assemblage art. In my work I examine the possibilities available when using found materials and appropriated images. I mix abstract shapes, redact, edit and censor the photographs and text to create new stories about form, negative and positive space, women, masks (real and imagined) and queerness.

    I create sculptural lights using repurposed materials and everyday objects. My latest projects are a collaboration between my brother and me. The lights we craft together originate from ordinary items that we assemble into articulated shapes, which we then enhance with carefully selected paper and fabric coverings, along with a bespoke light source, resulting in beautiful, tactile lights.

    I graduated with a Fine Art degree at Wimbledon College of Art in 2014. I work mainly with acrylic and oil on canvas. I paint from memory those feelings and emotions that have evolved from personal experience. My work documents the silence and isolation I have felt in observation when no words seem appropriate.

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist. Within my work I am interested exploring the possibilities of the transformation of the everyday.  I work on commissioned pieces with performers and also collaborate with friends and family who appear as subjects within my photographic work.     My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.
