    As a chemical free seasonal flower grower and lover of nature I use my garden as inspiration for my art, using a variety of mediums from watercolour through to acrylic and digital. I practice continually with different styles and have created large acrylic flow paintings through to small textile pieces. Flowers are my passion but I am open to depicting any form.

    Katy works with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She is currently making wearable accessories and clothing using the same techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and shops. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

Each piece is a story revealed through our interconnection and communion of the sacred ancient bond between the human and the natural world.     I have been painting for approximately 12 years but have only recently taken steps towards building my artwork in to more than just a hobby. This increased focus has seen an evolution in my work, moving towards stronger, bolder and more colourful creations, which I feel reflects the newfound confidence I have in myself as an artist.

    I am a magnanimous despot, a magpie, a collector of images, talk too much, questionable sanity, semi-retired educator and artist. I never fitted into any sort of academic or media box and use which ever media conveys my intentions best. I explore the darker sides of life, blurring the semi-autobiographical with fiction to highlight the precariousness of being human & start conversations about silent happenings, such as infertility, dementia, being a family carer, anxiety & disability.
