Her practice focuses on human civilization and time and again on the moments in which the traces of the past and the present meet the future.     Growing up as a military ‘brat’ through the troubles in Northern Ireland among other places has had a profound effect on my artistic make up. I have strong identity yet often do not feel a sense of belonging, I have a small studio in North Yorkshire from which I work primarily in oil on canvas

    Rachel is a multi-disciplinary artist working across the mediums of photographic processes, sound recording and performance. Her practice explores our perceptions of sound within environments and how that can be expressed in a visual context. She explores micro level sounds, the physical and material aspects of the body and environment and resonance within analogue instruments.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.

    Ali Gane is a Yorkshire-based ceramicist who creates work that has a sense of place, a feeling of connection and familiarity. Primarily a hand builder, her work is informed by the shapes, forms, structures and colours of the natural environment. She combines white earthstone and red earthenware clays to create a unique patchwork of strata-like patterned clay that is applied to formers and moulds.

    Museum worker and studio holder at serf in Leeds city centre. I've been making work for 10 years since graduating, during which time I have been involved in various projects, both artist-led and institutional, within the region. My practice involves collage, found image and arrangements and has been shown online and in various printed matter, as well as exhibitions across the UK.
