    I’m a performance artist and researcher. My main research topics are everyday technology (handheld devices) for performance practice, low-tech images and the emotional reception in neuroaesthetics. I work with autobiography material (snapshots and home movies) and historical archives. I graduated in Drama Studies (U.C.Dublin) and am a PhD student in art studies at the University of Coimbra.

    I am a ceramic artist who currently lives and works in Amsterdam. My artworks feature distinctive organic forms with contrasting textures and colours of nature. I am passionate about our environment, my work very often represents the impact of human actions and the damage it is causing to the environment in particular oceanic ecosystems.

    Life has taken me through many twists, turns and shifts during which my creative passion has ebbed and flowed but never faded. The last 5 years has seen my definitive return to art. Following an introduction to mixed media in the summer of 2018 I embarked on a 3 year intensive artistic study.     Who am I? A question I will always struggle with. I have two sides- my feminine and my masculine . My routes of action films and sci-fi has merged with my love for glamour, pop culture, costume and character. The questioning of identity and gender within myself and society has led way to a desire to explore this and other social topics through my work. Society is my biggest inspiration.

    Gumbley is a self taught fine art portrait, landscape and still life photographer, spending his earlier life writing poetry and scripts for his own personal wellbeing until he picked up a camera in the late nineties.
