    Leena McCall is an award winning artist, working predominantly in oil. Her work explores portraiture and the female form beyond the male gaze. After completing an HNC in Fine Art in London, Leena continued her art studies at the Charles Cecil Studios in Florence going on to work in Berlin and is now based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, UK.

    I'm a sculptor, writer and art historian (leeds university (jt hons) art history / english literature). I seek to make art at its most potent through re-interpreting and juxtaposing my raw materials - driftwood and unloved / unwanted furniture, occasionally with a surreal yet tangible functional edge. The metaphor between my work and humanity and how we are shaped by our environment is stark.

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Lancashire, U.K, conducting practice based research as part of my Fine Art MA. I work with cyanotype as well as other print-making methods. My work features archetypal symbolism and is heavily based around the teachings of C.G Jung.     Winner of art battle Manchester Dec 2018 and a long standing student of Artworks art school on Halifax. I have my own studio at home where I work. I have had an exhibition Hebden Bridge which launched my art business. I show work locally in Halifax and have commissions on the go most of the time.
